About Tiffanie

Welcome! My name is Tiffanie Harrison. I am a proud product of Round Rock ISD schools (Fern Bluff Elementary → Chisholm Trail Middle School → Round Rock High School) and a two-time teacher of the year at Round Rock High School. I now blend my passions for entrepreneurship, racial equity, and education as a General Partner for the Radical Equity Fund which focuses on advising and investing in diverse EdTech startup teams and disrupting the status quo to create a more equitable world. I also work on various projects as a consultant.

I was in the inaugural class of the Teachers Guild Fellowship in partnership with IDEO, a 2020 New Leaders Council Fellow, a 2020 CAMP Fellow. I am an active leader in community organizations like Anti-Racists Coming Together Round Rock, and the Round Rock Black Parents Association.

I taught marketing at Round Rock High school for over 8 years and while I miss being in the classroom, I love engaging students across the entire district as a trustee. I desire to see Martin Luther King Jr’s vision of Beloved Community come to fruition and am happy to dedicate my life to making that a reality.

In my spare time, I thoroughly enjoy spending time with friends and family and traveling!

Educator.

I was a classroom educator for over 8 years. I have taught various marketing classes, specializing in entrepreneurship through classes like Dragon Printshop, a unique intrapreneurial experience that is the only one of its kind that was built from the ground up. My career was built on successful partnerships with industry experts to create real world learning experiences for our amazing students. One of my proudest accomplishments was co-founding Dragon Nation with my students, an organization centered around community engagement and improved school culture.

Equity.

I desire to bridge the historic racial divide between the East and West schools in Round Rock ISD. As a community connector of equity, diversity, and inclusion I have had experience developing preK - 12 campus and district racial and educational equity strategic plans. I am the founder of the Round Rock High School Equity, Diversity & Inclusivity Committee and co-founding sponsor of the Black Student Union at Round Rock High School and co-Chair of the RRISD Equity Task Force. I have designed professional learning opportunities throughout RRISD, at both the campus and district levels. As I continue to serve, I take particular interest in equitable facilities.

Community.

I am heavily invested in the Round Rock community. My desire is to create a district where all parents, students, and community members feel welcome to engage. I served as the Round Rock High School Business and Industry Advisory Chair and as a member of the Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneurship Council. In my role as an educator, I served on both the Round Rock ISD Safety and Security and Equity Task Forces. Beyond Round Rock ISD I also am a Black Leaders Collective Board Member, BRAVE communities mentor, 3 Day Startup entrepreneurship start up professor of the year, Teachers Guild Design Council and more.
